Infectious Diseases Prevention and Control Team, KMUH, Taiwan
1. Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital (KMUH) is the only designated cooperative medical center of Taiwan Communicable Disease Control Medical Network (CDCMN) in Kaohsiung-Pingtung Area.
2. The KMUH Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Team contracted to support human resources education and training of medical staffs in the project of CDCMN of Kaohsiung Kaohsiung-Pingtung Area from 2014 to 2016. The course included the description of the rights and obligations of support personnel, the operation and policy planning of CDCMN, the prevention and treatment of emerging infectious diseases, the practical education and training of personal protective equipment.
3. The team undertook the 2015 CDC Emerging Infectious Disease-Ebola Preparedness Training and Practice Program, which was conducted at the Center for Infectious Disease Control and trained medical staff, hospital cleaners and ambulance personnel throughout the country.
On the donning and doffing training course, creatively using Emulsion and fluorescent sand mixture to simulate the patient's blood and other pollutants, so that staff can learn the polluted condition when the removal of equipment. Trainees responded well to the training course, with 100% satisfaction with the course.
